Dunlop and Co are Chartered Accountants, established for over 75 years. DCO have two bases, one in the Park area in the West End of Glasgow, and the other in Campbeltown in Argyll. We cater for a diverse range of clients, including Sole trade, Partnership and Small Limited Companies in areas such as Farming, IT, Retail and the Arts, and we also provide accountancy and tax services for private individuals.

Role Summary

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant to join our team in the Glasgow office. The role will involve a mix of accounts preparation, bookkeeping and VAT and tax services.

Key Accountabilities

  • Statutory accounts preparation
  • Personal Tax Returns
  • Corporate Tax Returns
  • VAT Returns

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience of accounts preparation of small businesses – sole trade, partnership, limited companies
  • Recognised Accounting qualification – CA preferred
  • Tax knowledge – Personal Tax, Corporation Tax and VAT Return preparation

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience of working in a small accountancy practice
  • Strong all-rounder in accounts and tax with an ability to work on own initiative and generate solutions
  • Work – average 20 hours per week but require flexibility particularly around the Self Assessment deadline
