We are looking for an enthusiastic Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in our Digital Marketing. Part of the Sheffield University Management School’s Marketing, Creative and Cultural Industries (MCCI) subject group, committed to creating an exciting and inclusive academic environment.

We are seeking an individual who can inspire students by connecting academic theory with professional practice, using innovative and practical approaches to enhance the learning experience and develop the skills needed for future employment.

Main duties and responsibilities:
- Conduct innovative research leading to research publications of the highest quality.
- Identify appropriate sources of funding and prepare research proposals for funding bodies.
- Contribute to knowledge exchange and impact as appropriate to the research work undertaken.
- Deliver general and specialist courses to the highest standards of teaching excellence, in teams and on your own.
- Carry out assessment for courses, including designing assessment instruments and criteria, marking assessments, ensuring adequate moderation, and providing written/oral feedback.
- Carry out course evaluation, which will include facilitating student feedback, reflecting on your own teaching design and delivery, and implementing ideas for improving your performance.
- Participate in and, as appropriate, have a role as a member of committees.
- Carry out academic leadership roles, potentially including module and programme leadership, or other roles as required.
- Pursue involvement in professional activities such as refereeing papers, editing journals, refereeing research grants, external examining, organising conferences, committee membership and involvement with professional bodies.
- Carry out other duties, commensurate with the grade and remit of the post.

- A PhD in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience (Essential)
- Demonstrable expertise in teaching digital marketing, e-commerce strategy, and digital consumer journey (Essential)
- Publications in high quality, internationally excellent outlets (including peer reviewed journal articles, conference presentations etc.) (Essential)
- A track record of and clear plans for applying for research funding (Essential)
- Ability to deliver or develop research impact through activities that demonstrate an effect beyond academia, for example via public engagement activities, consultancy etc. (Desirable)
- Experience of delivering excellent, innovative courses involving methods, and a reflective and student-focused approach, individually and / or as part of a team (Essential)
