HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

There are approximately 90 different processes involved in manufacturing a pipe. The Trainee Craftsperson will develop a broad knowledge of these tasks including hand filing, sandpapering and scraping, use of rotary sanding machines, use of rotary burnishing and polishing machines, hand colouring and finishing, use of power saws and drilling equipment.

  • To ensure allocated tasks are completed within pre-set timescales.
  • To ensure production processes are complete to required standards and quality.
  • To be aware and comply fully with Health & Safety Standards.

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US

  • GCSE level and A Level qualification
  • An interest and passion for woodwork
  • Good maths skills to make calculations and take measurements
  • The ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Good levels of concentration and attention to detail
  • The ability to work both independently and with a team
