Department Overview: Sitting within Brand Marketing, the purpose of the Creative team is to generate increased brand affinity, awareness and consideration among customers, encouraging existing customers to shop with us more often and new customers to consider Dunelm as a shopping destination. Our brand platform, The Home of Homes, is supported across our channels from ATL to organic social, underpinned by consistent creative and a single tone of voice. We work closest with the Commercial, Digital Trading and Digital Marketing teams, among others, to ensure the seamless promotion of our fantastic product offering. The Creative team comprises four sub-teams: Design, Copy & Editorial, Studio and Packaging. These teams are the guardians of brand creative, delivering seasonal and campaign content and solutions that fuel our channels.
Role Summary: The Senior Creative Manager is an experienced conceptual creative lead, focused on developing a strong team of digital and print designers to deliver campaign creative and editorial content which celebrates our product offer, underpinned by our brand platform, The Home of Homes. You’ll oversee our seasonal and campaign creative, from concepts and art direction, to shoots, toolkits and execution, embedding direction for the duration of campaigns. You’ll motivate and grow our talent to deliver creative solutions across our channels, in line with our brand guidelines, driving saliency and consistency. You’ll also champion the team and share creative work with the business.
Role Responsibilities:
- Oversee creative output, from concept to toolkit development and execution, championing creativity at every stage.
- Lead creative ideation and art direction across multichannel campaigns and seasonal activity, from ATL to POS and all digital channels.
- Direct our in-house Studio team, external partners and freelancers to produce photography and videography content.
- Guide team to deliver campaigns in line with brand guidelines and critical path.
- Collaborate with designers, copywriters, art directors, motion artists, stylists, marketing managers and channel leads to deliver creative solutions across all channels.
- Maintain and share brand guidelines.
- Build and manage pool of freelance talent.
- Support, brief and collaborate with external agencies.
- Line-manage four Design Managers, championing their development and supporting their career aspirations, and mentor juniors, helping to build a high-performing culture.
- Ensure creative efficiency and effectiveness, from ways of working to tools and tech.
- Champion the creative produced by your team, presenting it and celebrating it within the business.
- Build and nurture working relationships cross functionally and with stakeholders.
