It’s an exciting time at Dunelm, the UK’s biggest homewares brand, as we look to expand our talented Analytics and Data Science team in order to achieve our mission to put data and insight at the heart of decision making across the business.

This role will play a vital part in creating a web experience that delights our customers, through understanding how they interact with our site, developing hypotheses to improve usability and maximise revenue, and planning and evaluating experiments. You will also provide key input into the future direction of our experimentation platform, which will enable a robust and sophisticated testing programme with a high level of velocity and accuracy.

What you’ll be doing

  • Support the governance of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM), working with the Product and Tech teams to define business and analytics requirements, set KPIs and track progress against them.
  • Deliver technical tagging solutions that maintain a high standard of digital data capture, supported by our agency partner and Tech teams.
  • As a trusted partner to the Digital and Product teams, you will monitor and understand key conversion trends, provide insights on customer behaviour, pain points, and identify opportunities to enhance our digital experience and performance through experimentation and personalisation.
  • As a key member of the Insights & Analytics team you’ll partner with others around the team to share best practices that continue to develop our analytics capabilities across our website, stores and digital marketing and foster our open and collaborative culture.
  • You’ll be an advocate for data, insight and the voice of the customer throughout the business.

What we’ll look for in you

  • Strong experience implementing and maintaining GA4 solutions and working with tag management platforms (preferably GTM). Able to understand HTML, CSS and JavaScript in that context.
  • Experience working with Product teams (or similar), using data to understand customer behaviour and drive a customer-focussed strategy.
  • Experience working with BigQuery, with a proficiency in SQL preferred.
  • Experience working in data visualization tools like PowerBI/Looker is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the Tealium suite of products (IQ, Audience Stream, Event Stream) is a plus.
  • Creative, curious and customer focused, with a passion for making an impact through data.
  • Collaborative, with excellent communication skills and an ability to tell stories through data.
  • Extensive work experience, using your analytical and technical skillset to tackle business problems.
  • Degree in Maths, Stats, Economics, Computer Science, Physics or a related field; or equivalent related professional experience.
