In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally to identify, prevent, and reduce losses across our business. You’ll help limit exposure to theft, fraud, and stock loss, while safeguarding our people, our customers, and our assets. You’ll also build strong relationships with law enforcement and external partners to support investigations and share intelligence that helps resolve incidents of theft, fraud, and other criminal activity.

What you\’ll be doing
As a key member of our Security Operations Centre (SOC), you’ll lead a high-performing team that protects our people, places, and products. You’ll work collaboratively across Dunelm and with external partners to respond to threats, manage incidents, and continuously improve how we keep our business safe.
- Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing SOC team that lives our values and delivers exceptional support.
- Provide real-time assessment and response to internal and external threats, ensuring swift and accurate incident management.
- Triage, escalate, and coordinate responses to incidents, supporting store teams with care and clarity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across Security, Fraud, Stores, Operations, Property, and Commercial teams.
- Build strong partnerships with third-party suppliers and law enforcement across the UK’s 45 police forces.
- Use and evolve CCTV tools and processes to ensure rapid evidence capture and case resolution.
- Create detailed investigation packs to support police collaboration and secure convictions.
- Continuously improve SOC effectiveness through process refinement and innovation.
- Stay informed on legislation, policies, and crime reduction strategies, assessing their impact on our business.
- Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations for senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Plan team schedules to ensure store support is available throughout trading hours.
- Build dashboards and analyse crime trends to inform tactical and strategic decisions.
- Respond to security and threat alerts, sharing timely updates with relevant stakeholders.
- Draft support plans for stores facing persistent security challenges.
- Deploy guarding resources appropriately, working closely with Security Managers and Regional Colleagues.
- Lead and manage crime prevention projects, ensuring timely delivery and measurable impact.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of crime reduction initiatives, contributing to performance reporting.
- Tackle current and emerging security challenges with practical, people-focused solutions.
- Communicate regularly with store teams to share SOC updates and build engagement.
- Drive the ongoing evolution of the SOC to better support stores and the wider business.
