As a Merchandise Supervisor (Store Operations Coach),you’ll bring to life a shopping experience that makes every customer feel right at home. By ensuring high store standards, keeping products readily available, and managing smooth recovery processes, you’ll help the team deliver an exceptional experience, every time. Your leadership ensures that campaigns are executed perfectly from the start, driving sales while keeping the shop floor engaging and friendly. What you\’ll be doing
- Create a friendly and welcoming shopping experience by maintaining high shop floor standards
- Lead the team to campaigns flawlessly, ensuring the store is visually appealing and easy for customers to navigate.
- Keep the team updated on new products, supporting customer conversations and driving sales. Also, help promote the store through our local Facebook channel.
- Coach your team on link selling and actively encourage an increase in average basket size (ABS) by boosting impulse sales and guiding customers to discover just what they need.
- Celebrate great performance regularly to keep spirits high and motivate the team to take pride in their work.
- Maximise team productivity and consistency by coaching the team to follow our One-Way delivery/Recovery Model principles.
- Ensure the daily delivery is completed smoothly with every team member having a clear purpose throughout their shift.
- Use the Recovery Planner to organise the Recovery shift, ensuring the store is tidy, well-stocked, and ready for the next trading day.
- Hold wellbeing one-on-ones, progress check-ins, and career conversations with your direct reports to support our store’s succession plan.
- Drive on-shelf availability and maintain strong recovery standards to maximise sales and keep the store looking its best.
- Maximise impulse sales, total sales, and average basket size (ABS) by using commercial trading techniques and data from Power BI sales reports.
- Ensure the Walkway and Seasonal areas follow all relevant POS, H&S, and TACS (Tickets, Availability, Commerciality, Sample) guidelines.
- Set up ME displays with full guidance, using the POS guide and other supporting documents. Check the known issues log in advance to identify challenges and plan solutions.
- Build a strong, capable delivery and recovery team by coaching and mentoring future leaders.
- Stay on top of all Intouch tasks and plan ahead for upcoming ones.
- Ensure price changes are implemented accurately and on time.
- Coach the team to follow security tagging guidelines, ensuring all relevant products are tagged to minimise stock loss and keep inventory safe.
