We are a highly collaborative group of designers, dedicated to creating exceptional products that seamlessly coordinate within the home. Our mission is to provide direction for a wide and varied range of brands, including Dorma, Fogarty, The Edited Life, Churchgate, Elements, and our parent brand, Dunelm. Our Design team plays a pivotal role in crafting exciting new product ranges aimed at boosting sales and wowing our customers with sustainability and circular design principles at their core. They are continuously engaged in researching emerging trends in product design, consumer lifestyles, colour forecasting, and innovative materials. Their expertise guides the creative direction for all categories each season, which is then seamlessly integrated into our departmental strategies.
If you're a junior-level designer with plenty of enthusiasm and a love for creating beautiful things, this could be your next step. We’re looking for a Junior Designer to join our team working on wonderfully varied categories covering Stationery, Partyware and Pets. No two days (or products!) are quite the same, which keeps things fun, fast-moving, and full of ideas.
What you'll be doing:
- Create and refine thoughtful, well-considered designs, showing confidence even when working with minimal guidance.
- Support senior designers on larger projects, bringing fresh ideas, enthusiasm and a collaborative approach.
- Use the core design software confidently, producing clear, accurate and high-quality work.
- Work comfortably on your own or as part of a team, taking feedback in a positive and constructive way.
- Show initiative and resourcefulness, finding smart solutions and spotting opportunities to make our designs even better.
- A strong portfolio that shows your potential, your creativity and the spark of your own design personality with strong graphic and illustration skills and how these are applied to three-dimensional product.
- Great organisational skills and able to prioritise tasks, designing with pace.
What we'll look for in you:
- Some hands-on experience in a creative or design setting, showing you understand the basics and are ready to grow.
- Comfort using key design software, with the foundations in place and plenty of enthusiasm to build your skills.
