Role within Dunelm Made to Measure, reporting to the growth team. This is a B2B sales role focused on generating new business channel opportunities and leading sales efforts for made to measure window treatment products and services.
Location: Leicestershire, United Kingdom (Melton Mowbray area noted in the job description).
Overview: The Made to Measure branch aims to be the trusted home of UK crafted curtains and blinds, delivered quickly at great value. The team collaborates closely with stores, store operations, digital growth, product and design teams to grow the business sustainably.
Role responsibilities
- Channel and Go To Market Strategy: Develop sector and industry-specific channel strategies and go-to-market plans. Use market and competitive research to identify growth opportunities and ensure channel initiatives align with company objectives. Identify high-potential channel partners/customers, initiating outreach and selling in the Dunelm B2B value proposition.
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Work with the Growth Manager to identify and target new business opportunities within the B2B market. Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of qualified leads.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and business objectives. Conduct in-depth needs assessments for potential clients to understand their specific window treatment requirements. Provide tailored solutions that align with client needs and company offerings, including product recommendations and pricing. Conduct product demonstrations, commercial sales presentations, and site visits as necessary to showcase the value of the company’s window treatment proposition. Prepare and present proposals, including product specifications, trade terms quotes, and pricing structures. Negotiate trade terms, contracts and close deals while maintaining profitable margins for the company. Work closely with the finance, marketing, design, and operations teams to ensure client needs are met efficiently. Provide regular updates on sales performance, market trends, and competitive analysis to the growth team. Participate in trade meetings and contribute to the development of best practices for sales processes.
