As a Curtain & Blind Fitter in our Made to Measure team you’ll be out on the road, visiting customers in their homes to bring their vision to life. From measuring up to fitting the final product, you’ll make sure every window looks its best and every customer feels confident they chose us. Our Made to Measure Fitters are a huge part of why customers keep coming back. It’s not just about getting the job done – it’s about doing it with care, confidence, and a smile.
You’ll be the face of our service, so a friendly, professional attitude is just as important as your practical skills. You’ll take pride in the details and make sure the job’s done right – first time, every time. You’ll be trusted to represent us in our customers’ homes, bringing warmth, professionalism, and a personal touch to every visit. What you\’ll be doing
- Be customer obsessed – consistently consider the impact of your actions on the customer experience, and strive to deliver joyful experiences in the most effective and thoughtful way
- Visit customers’ homes to carry out professional curtain and blind fittings as part of our Made to Measure service
- Consistently deliver exceptional customer service to support strong CSAT (Customer Satisfaction) scores, ensuring every customer receives a welcoming, helpful, and memorable experience
- Measure windows accurately to ensure a perfect fit for every product
- Install a range of window dressings with precision and care
- Deliver a warm, professional service that puts customers at ease and leaves a lasting impression
- Manage your own schedule and plan your day efficiently to meet appointment times
- Maintain your van and tools, ensuring everything is clean, safe, and ready to go
- Handle basic customer queries on-site and escalating any issues where needed
- Follow health and safety guidelines and working tidily and respectfully in customers’ homes
- Represent the Dunelm brand with pride, professionalism, and a customer-first mindset
What we\’ll look for in you
- A full UK driving licence – essential for getting to and from customer appointments
- A customer-first approach, you understand the importance of making people feel comfortable in their own homes
- A hands-on, practical mindset – confident using tools like drills, levels, and tape measures. But don’t worry if you’re not a pro just yet, we’ve got a brilliant training programme and we’re big believers in investing in people with the right attitude and potential
- A keen eye for detail, you take pride in doing a job properly first time and every time
- A friendly, can-do attitude – you’re approachable, professional, and always ready to help
- Previous experience in a fitting, trade, or hands‑on role is ideal – but not essential if you’re eager to learn
- Comfortable working flexibly, including occasional evenings or weekends, to suit customer needs
- Experience in a customer‑facing role is a bonus
