Join our friendly team as an experienced Veterinary Surgeon in East Lothian. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our welcoming and supportive team. Based in Tranent, Dunedin Vets is just 10 miles from Edinburgh, ideally placed for city access as well as the beautiful East Lothian coastline and the Lammermuir Hills—offering the perfect blend of work and lifestyle.
About the Role
We are looking for a vet with significant experience in small animal practice, perhaps looking to take on a Clinical Directorship, and confident in both medical and surgical work. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide support for new graduate vets for this role. Excellent communication skills, empathy, and a genuine passion for patient care are essential. You will enjoy working collaboratively within our team and engaging positively with our clients and local community.
About Us
We are a busy and well-respected small animal practice with a strong reputation for outstanding client care. Our friendly team of vets, nurses, and support colleagues work closely together to provide an excellent service to our clients across East Lothian. Our Tranent site is an RCVS Practice Standards Scheme Accredited Small Animal Practice and a Veterinary Nurse training practice. The site has been upgraded and now includes:
- Three modern consulting rooms
- A spacious and fully equipped surgical suite
- Digital and dental radiography
- A comprehensive range of medical and surgical facilities
Work–Life Balance
Your wellbeing is important to us. We offer a 4-day working week (36 hours) plus one in three Saturday mornings (4 hours) with no on-call duties.
