Role Overview
You will lead high-stakes client programmes focused on rationalising complex vendor landscapes, running competitive RFP processes to drive cost and performance improvements and managing the transition to the new operating model. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you’ll shape sourcing strategies, manage the transition, and deliver measurable value. The role is based in Central London with 3+ days in the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with CIOs, CTOs, and service tower leaders to define IT vendor consolidation opportunities
- Map the current vendor landscape across application support, infrastructure, managed services, etc.
- Develop future-state vendor models aligned with technology and operating model goals
- Lead the end-to-end RFP process: from requirements definition through to evaluation, vendor selection, and negotiation.
- Develop cost models, performance scorecards, and selection criteria
- Drive value through renegotiation, rationalisation, and alternative sourcing models (offshoring, multi-vendor, managed service)
- Develop project plans and manage the transition to the new operating model
- Be accountable for engagement delivery and support internal capability building
What we are looking for
- 7+ years of experience in consulting roles focused on IT services sourcing and IT Services vendor transition management with a top tier management consulting firm
- 5+ years of experience in running RFPs, vendor selection, and contract negotiation
- Strong program management and stakeholder management skills
- Deep understanding of IT services ecosystems (e.g., infrastructure, cloud, application management, AMS)
- Proven track record in delivering cost savings, performance uplift, or vendor rationalisation outcomes
- Comfortable engaging and advising senior IT stakeholders
