The role of Hospitality Duty Manager gives you the opportunity to be part of one of the most exciting and diverse working experiences in Dundee right now, working across multiple sites in a wide range of venues. This role gives an opportunity to help develop the right candidate's leadership abilities and commercial acumen all while being surrounded by a supportive team with regular performance reviews. DUSA prides itself on giving scope for bringing in new and fresh ideas, collaborating with the staff base and helping them turn their ideas into reality, creating a sense of ownership and pride amongst the staff base.
The Role
- Managing service standards and staff development, monitoring development needs, and required training.
- Helping your line manager to monitor and control the profit and loss, grow the business, and develop the team.
- Organise and adjust staff Rota's and schedules in accordance with available resources and working time regulations and submit payroll information to the finance department.
- Regularly moving stock between venues.
- Maintain regular communication with staff and management through meetings and discussions.
- Stay current with relevant legislation regarding service of alcohol and licensing.
- To undertake an operational role in all areas of the department, be visible and accessible to customers and staff.
- To have a good interest and knowledge of the overall bar's operation including cocktail mixology, coffee barista standards and drinks presentation.
- To be involved in team ideas for promotions, menus, and new products within the department.
The Person
- Commercial minded.
- Ambitious Experienced Supervisor looking to develop and/or Current Duty Manager Management and training/experience.
- Excellent motivator with ability to lead a team.
- Strong work ethic.
- Solution focused thinking/problem solving ability.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience
- Knowledge of drinks and cocktail market, mixology skills desirable.
- Barista coffee experience.
- Minimum of 1 year within supervisory role.
- Good IT skills and familiar with EPOS systems.
Hours of Work
No minimum hours guaranteed. Any five out of seven days, including weekends and evenings.
Hourly Pay
This is an hourly paid role and is remunerated at £13.20 per hour. No additional payments or allowances and no contractual entitlement to overtime.
Holiday Pay
12.07% holiday pay (accrued on hours worked).
