RequirementsYou will be qualified to practice as a Solicitor in Scotland.
ResponsibilitiesYou will assist in the provision of all legal and associated services to the Council, its Committees, Departments, staff and, where appropriate, to any organisation in which the Council has an interest. You will assist in the management of the Legal Service. You will be part of a wide and varied team focussing on the Litigation Service provided to Dundee City Council. The role will include responsibility for Employment Tribunals, Employer Liability cases, Adoption, Permanence and Education and Health and Social Care Partnership cases, Heritage cases and any and all litigation which the service is a party to.
The IndividualYou will have good basic experience in relevant areas of work along with the ability to manage and motivate others and think strategically. You will have good communication, organisational and time management skills and be able to work under pressure. You will work across a variety of areas and have a willingness to undertake appropriate job related training as required. A Level 2 Standard Disclosure Scotland check is required.
