Requirements

You will be GTCS Registered (Primary), and have proven and successful experience in leading developments (curricular and staff development), quality assurance and have experience in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

You will assist and where necessary deputise for the Head Teacher in the conduct of school affairs. You will support the Head Teacher in the performance of his/her duties to include a specified subset, see job description.

The Individual

You will have evidence of wide knowledge of curriculum development in Scotland, demonstrate up to date knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence. You will have experience of a range of classes, experience in a leadership role, knowledge, understanding and involvement in current educational developments. You will have proven and successful experience in leading developments (curricular and staff development) including quality assurance and evidence of appropriate professional learning in a range of areas. You will have a willingness to keep up to date and learn, evidence of full participation in the life of the school and to undertake curriculum/personal development.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
