Responsibilities
- You will assist and support functions of the Trading Standards Section, including fair trading, weights & measures, consumer safety, animal health, sale of restricted products and the Trusted Trader Scheme whilst undertaking the Trading Standards Practitioner Diploma qualification.
The Individual
- You will have experience of working with the general public, report writing and of providing effective presentations.
- You will also have excellent organisational skills, experience of using Word/Excel packages, and good communication and workload co-ordinating skills.
- You will be able to gain the Trading Standards Practitioner Diploma within four years.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
