Job Description

Working in a hybrid style, based at home and Dundee House you will work full time, 37 hours per week.

Requirements

You will have an HNC or equivalent in a building related subject.

Responsibilities

You will regularly inspect, report on and where appropriate procure the maintenance of all building/fabric elements of all City Development Department properties (owned or leased) and ensure compliance with current legislation.

You will, in liaison with others, ensure service delivery in buildings is maintained during periods of maintenance/improvements (planned or unplanned). You will act as day to day property liaison between Building Managers/Head Teachers with regard to property matters and budgets.

The Individual

You will have experience within the field of property repairs and maintenance along with a good understanding of health and safety legislation relating to property.

You will have good knowledge of building types and their common defects. You will have good problem solving and organisational skills, as well as good communication skills. You will also have knowledge of CDM.

You will have the ability to advise and liaise with colleagues, clients and tenants at all levels. You will also have the ability to build and maintain good working relationships with clients and contractors.

You will have the ability to work as part of a team with commitment to providing a good service level to clients. You will also have the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.
