The predicted salary is between 29700 - 36300 £ per year.

Working in a hybrid style, based at home, Dundee House, or other Council premises, you will work full time, 37 hours per week. Your salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience. Requirements:

  • You will have 3 Highers or equivalent including English and a Maths related subject e.g. Maths, Computing Science, Accounting, and be willing to undertake professional exam studies.

Responsibilities:

You will assist in the management and delivery of, and make a positive contribution to, the Council's Internal Audit Service, which is a statutory function and a fundamental element of the Council’s governance and assurance framework. Guided by the philosophy of adding value, the Service aims to bring a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the organisation’s risk management, internal control and governance processes through the provision of an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity.

The Individual:

Then this opportunity to join our Internal Audit team providing assurance, insight and advice across all aspects of Council activity, and helping to deliver on the City and the Council’s priorities, is for you. You may be an experienced internal auditor, but if not, we offer a career path and training to gain the Institute of Internal Audit’s Certified Internal Auditor qualification. Open mindedness, listening and attention to detail, whilst appreciating the bigger picture, all contribute to developing good audit skills to analyse systems and processes to confirm they are fit for purpose, or to offer practical solutions to improve them. You will be a good oral and written communicator with experience of researching, reviewing and presenting findings using good inquiry, analysis and report writing skills. You will have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office - including Office 365, Teams, Excel, Word, good organisational skills, the ability to achieve targets, work to deadlines within set budgets and the ability to work both individually and as a member of a team. A satisfactory Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check is required.
