She enjoys shopping, gaming, going to the cinema, attending gaming conventions, and spending time out in the community.
While she is keen to participate in a wide range of activities, she requires support and supervision to help keep her safe and encourage her independence.
About the Role
As a Personal Assistant, you will
- Support and promote independence in the local community
- Accompany and assist with leisure activities and hobbies
- Encourage participation in social and community activities
- Provide gentle prompting with personal care and hygiene routines
- Undertake occasional light household tasks
- Build a positive and supportive working relationship
No previous care experience is required, although experience or awareness of autism would be advantageous. - Full UK driving licence
- Access to a vehicle with business insurance
- Ability to join the PVG Scheme
- Ability to provide two satisfactory references
- Female applicants only – this post is exempt under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010
- Two weeks’ leave over the festive period
- Mileage expenses paid
- Flexible working arrangements between 10.00am and 5.00pm by agreement
- Some weekend work may be available
- Opportunity for additional hours
