Family based in Dundee (Westend) is looking to recruit a self‑employed carer for respite overnight sleepover care. This role is to support a lovely lady with dementia, who is 91 years old, in the West End of Dundee. Females only need to apply as permitted under Schedule 9, part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
She enjoys watching TV, likes listening to music and likes going out for meals and to shows. She also likes to take part in singing and activities at her local Community Support Club.
The PA will have a private bedroom to sleep in overnight, and the main part of the role will be to be there in case the supported person wakes in the night and to assist. There is no requirement for support with medication, meals, moving or personal care with this role.
- A driving licence would be desirable
- An understanding and some experience of dementia would also be desirable
