Our practice is a long established, proudly independent and now employee‑owned practice in the centre of beautiful Edinburgh. We have a friendly, welcoming team providing a supportive environment for all staff to thrive. We enjoy a good working atmosphere and have many long‑standing team members. We encourage case work ups to a high standard and are continually investing in the newest equipment to assist our vets. We offer Karl Storz laparoscopy, video endoscopy, doppler ultrasound, ECG, digital dental x‑ray, Tonopen, slit lamp, full in‑house laboratory with IDEXX Procyte and Catalyst analysers and DR x‑ray equipment. Our team has a wealth of knowledge and experience including a certificate holder in cardiology, endosurgery, and special interests in ophthalmology and ultrasound. We are happy to mentor new vets to develop their skills and passions. We have achieved the RCVS Practice Standard Scheme accreditation for all four of our branches throughout the city. We hold regular team meetings to keep up to date with new ideas and protocols, and to strive for continued clinical excellence. We also have regular social events to let our hair down and have shared meals, drinks, ten‑pin bowling and trips to ‘escape rooms’. A Friday lunch time pizza take‑away is always well received!
The Role: The position is likely a 3‑day working week, with a 1 in 3 Saturday morning weekend rota comprising consultations only from 9am to 1pm. There is flexibility as to the exact hours or days that are worked. There is no out of hours work (covered by Evets our local provider). We are looking for a vet with some experience, with good communication and team working skills. The ability to connect and bond with our clients is essential. An enthusiasm to further develop their skills and personal goals is also required.
The package includes:
- £40,000 - £70,000 FTE depending on experience
