About the opportunity
We are looking for a motivated individual for our 12-month accounting placement role within our Grantham office. This position is ideal for anyone seeking to gain experience in this industry and kickstart their career in accounting. If you’re a second-year university student looking to work in business services or tax, this is a great opportunity for you.
What you will be doing:
- Preparing, amending, printing and sending accounts to Companies House
- Preparing and amending tax returns and computations
- Collaborating effectively with team members to keep workflows running efficiently
- Acknowledging both internal and external emails, ensuring all are responded to quickly
- Supporting accountants and advisors with day-to-day client work
- Learning industry software and accounting procedures
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- You need to be a second year university student and commit to our 12 month opportunity

- Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal

Lots of our second-year placement students go on to secure roles with us after they graduate. As a second-year university student, we aren’t expecting you to know everything already or have heaps of work experience under your belt. However, we do want applicants who can commit to the full 12-month placement, commute to our Grantham office and want to make a meaningful contribution to our work at Duncan & Toplis.
