A highly successful international publisher of medical journals is looking to appoint an experienced Editor to join their growing team. As a senior member of the company, and the driving force behind their editorial strategy, the main function of the Editor will be to produce the titles within the company's growing portfolio.

This is a senior role which involves responsibility for the overall quality of content within the journals, supplements and eblasts published, and strategizing the future journals in terms of articles published, the accuracy and content quality across a highly successful suite of journals and supplements.

Other areas of responsibility will include monitoring journal standards and implementing quality-control procedures and identifying areas for improvement. As part of the company's senior management team you will be involved with new journal launches on a global level and will work with Assistant Editors to deliver exceptional content.

Working with the Head of Publishing you will create and implement the content strategy for the wider brand and be part of the team that will establish an additional eight journals for 2020, which will include some US publications.

We are looking for an experienced scientific editor, who has their finger on the pulse of new medical innovations to be able to develop and implement new content strategies suitable for readership. The successful person will have substantial experience in medical/healthcare publishing, with strong leadership skills and a growth mind-set.

You will ideally have a relevant science related degree and some experience of digital publishing with Editorial Manager for workflow. You will be a problem solver with meticulous attention to detail and someone who likes to bring new ideas to the table.
