Main Responsibilities of the Role
- Provide a pro‑active, client‑focused approach in professional negligence litigation.
- Manage all aspects of cases from instruction through to completion, including attending clients, preparing documents, and representing in court.
- Handle correspondence and oversee a challenging case‑load, ensuring accurate time‑costing procedures.
- Implement supervisor recommendations from monthly file reviews.
Key Skills Required
- Clean, valid Practising Certificate.
- Collaborative team player with strong client care skills.
- Expertise in professional negligence claims (CPR Rules, pre‑action protocols, investigations, settlement discussions, mediation).
- Extensive litigation background, including private practice and publicly funded work.
- Excellent communication, networking, and new‑business generation abilities.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with sound judgement.
- Advocacy experience is advantageous.
- Proficiency in IT, Microsoft Office and document‑management systems.
