Our Personal Injury Department offers sensitive and expert advice to individuals and bereaved families who have suffered or lost a loved one due to an injury and wish to make a ‘no win no fee’ claim for compensation. Our team is known for being caring and considerate, supporting clients at every stage of the claims process with the objective of obtaining maximum compensation. We deal with a range of Personal Injury claims including road traffic accidents, accidents at work, and accidents in public spaces.
Main Responsibilities of the Role:
- Report directly to Department Director
- Professional pro-active approach, strong client care skills, and a sensitive understanding of clients’ needs
- Responsible for all aspects of Personal Injury work and providing technical expertise and guidance to other team members when appropriate
- Manage appropriate caseload types and complexities
- Assist with casework including dealing with a range of Personal Injury cases issued at court, with an excellent understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and protocols
- Attend clients, take instructions, and prepare cases
- Deal with correspondence
- Draft schedules of loss
- Review Medical Records
- Maintain accurate time costing procedures
- Implement recommendations made by your supervisor following monthly file reviews
- Ensure compliance with file management
Key Skills Required:
- 2 - 6 years of PQE in Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury Law, with a proven track record of managing complex cases and achieving favourable outcomes for clients
- Must have a clean, valid Practicing Certificate at the time of applying
- Committed team player who adapts well to new challenges
- Previous supervisory experience and working to key performance indicators is an advantage
- Professional with a pro-active approach; excellent client care skills and ability to deal with client matters sensitively
- Excellent networking and communication skills with the ability to successfully market the Company and generate new business
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills
- Ability to use own initiative and sound judgment
- Working knowledge of Personal Injury work and ability to service privately funded cases
- Extensive experience in dealing with Personal Injury related work
- Experience in own advocacy is an advantage
- Excellent IT Skills - familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills
