Duncan & Todd Group is one of the leading optical and hearing care providers based in Scotland. In operation for over 40 years, our brands include: Duncan and Todd, 2020, Douglas Dickie, JM Macdonald, James Hughes, Browns, IC Andrew, Smart Employee Eyecare and Caledonian Optical.
The Project Manager will be based in our Head Office (Dyce, Aberdeen) and will work on a full-time basis over 5 days between Monday to Friday. The post is Fixed Term for 12 months.
The Project Manager will lead and manage cross-functional projects across the organisation, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with strategic objectives. The role focuses on driving operational efficiency, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement in project execution and governance.
Responsibilities- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of concurrent projects across the business.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and influence wider organisation to ensure successful outcomes.
- Monitor project budgets, risks, and performance metrics, ensuring corrective actions are taken when needed.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication between internal teams and external partners.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through regular reporting, steering meetings, and transparent communication.
- Document process changes, ensuring smooth adoption of new systems.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
- Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of budgeting, risk management, and performance tracking frameworks.
- Familiarity with retail environments preferred.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on delivery and continuous improvement.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Minimum 5β7 years in a project management role, preferably in a cross-functional or operational setting.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven track record of delivering process improvement and change initiatives.
- Degree in Business, Project Management, or related field.
- Project Management certification preferred.
