We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Environmental Manager. The successful candidate will report to both the Site Operations Managers and Group Environmental Manager, delivering advice relating to environmental matters required by both legislation and our customers. The role will be multi-site/across the Westcountry. Standard hours would be 8.00 - 17.00 Monday to Friday. Salary dependent on experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional assistance relating to matters within the industry sector with guidance from the Group Environmental Manager.
- Record Environmental KPI\'s and performance objectives, report to the Site operations Managers at site environmental/energy meetings with the aim to develop energy initiative programmes
- Operate to the terms and conditions of the sites EPR / EA licence.
- Develop and maintain the environmental and energy management system for the sites.
- Maintain the sites to the ISO 14001 environmental and ISO50001 energy standard.
- Take responsibility for the investigation and reporting of all environmental incidents in line with relevant legislative and company requirements.
- Keep Environmental training for colleagues up to date and legally complaint, deliver in house environmental training programmes to enhance colleague knowledge and improve performance.
- Be Responsible for the performance and development of those individuals reporting to the role holder, ensuring that performance related feedback is given. Ensure that all team members adhere to company policies, legislative requirements and customer trends.
- Support the Engineering teams to facilitate effective operation of on site waste water treatment plant and monitoring of discharge related to operation of this waste water treatment plant.
- Graduate/third level qualification desirable but not essential, with relevant academic/professional qualifications
- Attention to detail

- Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks
- Flexible and the ability to adapt to a dynamic working environment
- Driving license and access to vehicle essential
