At our Preston site we are seeking to recruit a high-caliber National Account Manager who will be responsible for establishing strong key customer relationships to ensure sales and profitability targets are met. Reporting to the Head of Commercial, Retail, this position will play an integral part in developing existing and future sales within the company.
Responsibilities
The Role:
- Build strong integrated relationships with customers across various departments, incorporating regular visits to the customers head office
- Create and manage strategic joint business plans with the customer, designed to drive category growth
- Partner with NPD to innovate new ideas to maximise new market opportunities
- Design and deliver strong promotional activity for the customer that drives volume
- Oversee the arrangements for the set up any new product launches and ensure that all components are correct in advance of first production
- Provision of accurate sales forecasts
- Undertake range reviews and provide a comprehensive range analysis to improve sales within the department, in line with the customer\βs development process.
- Work in a cross functional team, co-ordinating category plans and liaising with category/marketing; product development; supply chain and Technical
- To understand the category and the current market position in comparison to other retailers and discounters
- Undertake any other ad hoc requests from internal management or the customer
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- Ideally, 2 years\β experience in a similar role working within a manufacturing environment supplying within a Major Retailer or Food Service sector
- The role requires travel and visits to the customer, various stores, and Dunbia Group sites, so a full clean Driving License is essential.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office is essential
- Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential
- An ambitious, customer focused team player, highly flexible, motivated, and proactive
- Show strong leadership and management skills whilst acting in a Professional manner at all times
- Will be committed to working within the Company Values.
Working Environment
- Role based at Dunbia\βs site in Preston.
- Predominantly working as part of Dunbia\βs commercial team but the role will require cross-functionality working alongside other departments including Technical, Agriculture, Product Development & Insight.
