The Dunbia Group, Dungannon are looking for a HR Officer to join us and be an integral part of the HR Team. Your remit will be to provide HR generalist support to the business across 3 sites. Your key focus will be to provide support and guidance on a wide range of HR areas including employee welfare, attendance management, performance management, employee relations and engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver timely, professional HR guidance to managers and employees.
- Support the effective implementation of HR processes, initiatives and compliance measures across the site, ensuring consistency and high standards.
- Work proactively to ensure all activity aligns with company policies, including Quality, Health & Safety, and ethical compliance requirements.
- Foster strong employee relations and champion equality, fairness and a positive workplace culture.
- Work towards HR targets and deadlines efficiently, ensuring work is completed accurately.
- Provide informed advice to managers on disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence and wider ER matters, ensuring best practice and legal compliance.
- Independently conduct or oversee investigations, disciplinary hearings, grievance meetings and appeals as required.
- Monitor sickness absence trends, identify emerging issues and take appropriate action, escalating only where necessary.
- Coordinate and progress Occupational Health referrals to support employee wellbeing and business needs.
- Generate weekly and ad-hoc HR reports, ensuring insight and accuracy.
- Maintain high-quality employee records across HR systems and personnel files.
- Manage payroll-related administration tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ensure managers and employees fully understand and consistently apply company policies and procedures.
- Take initiative in updating or reviewing HR policies to reflect current legislation and best practice.
- Oversee ethical audit compliance, preparing and providing required documentation or evidence independently.
- Uphold data protection standards at all times, ensuring the secure and compliant management of information.
Qualifications:
- CIPD level 5
- At least 2 years, recent, HR Generalist experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment with a focus on ER, absence and performance management, employee welfare
- Strong organisational skills with ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
- Sound knowledge of current employment legislation.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Competent in the use of MS Office & HR Systems.
This role operates on a Monday to Friday basis. All candidates must be flexible and prepared to work additional hours when required to meet customer demand. No company sponsorship is available to overseas applicants for this position.
