Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will be responsible for providing daily production plans for the boning halls and slaughter hall. We are seeking determined and committed individuals who can impact performance and make a positive contribution to the company's future growth.

Responsibilities

  • To prepare daily planning forecasts to assist with the overall timely co-ordination and optimisation of the factory and its resources (facilities, people, packaging etc).
  • To prepare commercially driven weekly slaughter and boning plans that are designed to optimise factory utilisation and performance.
  • To co-ordinate the day to day running of the primary operation through the scheduling of work and use of daily plans.
  • To monitor actual operating performance against the plans and ensure corrective re-planning action is taken to address any variances.
  • To ensure all customers receive 100% service level.
  • Updating forecast figures on to KPI spreadsheets.
  • Work with sales department well in advance of availability of surplus stocks to avoid last minute sales.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in production planning, preferably in red meat processing.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise work effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Possess strong planning and analysis skills with the ability to implement processes and procedures and to track progress.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office packages, in particular Excel.
  • Committed to working within the Company Values.
