In the capacity of Trainee Team Leader, you'll start by learning the basics as a General Operative. As you learn the business, at your own pace, you'll move into a Senior Operative role of your choice. Finally, when you're ready, you'll take charge of your first team. Alongside the formal training, you will complete a Level 3 ILM qualification and bespoke company training, ensuring you feel supported and inspired to fast-track your development.

Responsibilities

  • Team Supervision: Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the production team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Training and Development: Provide on-the-job training to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the production process to ensure that all products meet stringent quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
  • Health and Safety: Enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the production process and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production data, team performance, and any issues that arise, reporting to senior management as required.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between the production team and upper management, facilitating clear and effective communication.

Qualifications and Skills

  • An ability to work in a team and the personal attributes to lead one.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (Desired).
  • Experience in a supervisory or leadership role (Desired).
