Treatment Plant Operator

Overview

The company currently wishes to recruit a motivated and driven Treatment Plant Operator to work as part of the Dunbia (Dungannon) site Maintenance Team within our Primary Factory. This represents an excellent opportunity to work as part of a highly skilled team with the potential for progression within the team.

Location: Dunbia, Dungannon, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom

Responsibilities

• To carry out the day to day running of the Treatment Plant.
• Daily and weekly sample taking and testing.
• Monitor and adjusting levels, readings and flows.
• Keeping the plant running within legislative boundaries.
• Basic preventative maintenance – oiling, greasing, replacing, tidying, ETC.
• Assisting maintenance engineers with Maintenance tasks when required.
• Visual checks on equipment during machine operation.
• Reporting, both written and verbal, of faults requiring specialist skills.
• At all times ensure a safe working environment.

Essential criteria

• Previous experience in an industrial environment.
• Awareness of the main requirements of Health and Safety legislation and good practice relevant to the duties of the post.
• Ability to work as part of a team, possessing good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow instruction while working under own initiative.
• Possess a positive attitude and the willingness to learn.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Computer literate as plant runs SCADA system.
