Production Manager

Overview

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, a vacancy has arisen for a Site Production Manager in Cardington. The successful candidate will be part of the Senior Management Team (SMT) on site and be responsible for the Boning Hall and Despatch functions.

Responsibilities

• The Production Manager will be accountable for all production pertaining to the de-boning, trimming, processing, packing, storage and distribution of meat and meat products.
• Responsible for effectively planning resources to meet the requirements of the business and customer expectations.
• Responsible for the effective and efficient production of all products including yield, quality, and cost achievement, in line with the standards depicted by the business, whilst developing the team and positive culture upon the site in regard to the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental agendas.
• Responsible for the protecting, at all times, of the integrity of the Company through positive and constructive actions and attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience as a manager within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment – meat processing experience is desirable.
• Excellent knowledge and demonstrable experience of manufacturing processes, lean methodologies, and continuous improvement principles.
• Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality management systems.
• Strong communicator at all levels with the ability to mentor, coach and inspire their teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Results-driven and resilient mindset with a focus on operational excellence.
• Proven ability to implement and drive change.
