A vacancy has arisen for a Maternity Cover Procurement Manager based at our Llanybydder Site. The role involves managing the Site Procurement Team to support livestock procurement from suppliers, ensuring a consistent raw material supply for production. As a senior management team member, you will also contribute to the overall direction of the site and its activities.
Responsibilities
General Duties:
- Manage livestock procurement professionally and commercially.
- Oversee procurement personnel activities to ensure effective livestock procurement.
- Visit new and existing livestock suppliers.
- Represent the company at agricultural shows and related events.
- Monitor market competitors and analyze potential impacts on the company.
- Ensure production requirements are met and communicated to Field Officers.
- Ensure product quality specifications are fulfilled.
- Carry out livestock procurement within Group directives.
- Liaise with the Group Commercial Director and Group Procurement Manager on price, quality, and livestock availability issues.
- Maintain good relationships with producers, agents, and the Dunbia Group.
- Collaborate on agricultural initiatives beneficial to Dunbia\'s growth.
- Develop staff and pursue personal development.
Qualifications - The Person:
- Degree or equivalent in Sales, Marketing, or Business-related discipline.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience in developing customer relations.
- Proficient in IT skills, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Flexible to travel for work purposes.
- Full UK driving license required.
