We are actively seeking applications from individuals keen to take up a career within one of Europe’s leading food processing companies.

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates to help support the Engineering Operations on our Retail Night Engineering Department. We welcome recently qualified candidates starting out in their career who want to develop and progress with the business. The core pattern of work is based on a four-on-four-off rolling shift pattern from 18:00 to 06:30.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned maintenance, fault finding and repairs in the production departments
  • Support the Engineering/Production operations as required
  • Moving and re-installing of machinery when needed
  • Machine change overs and set ups
  • Carry out check sheets as required
  • Liaising with external contractors when necessary
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with key site personnel
  • Mentoring and training of single skilled engineers
  • Adhering to Company policies and procedures and Health & Safety legislation
Qualifications:
  • Multi-skilled engineers ideally with both electrical and mechanical experience
  • Proven track record in a multi-skilled engineering position
  • Recognised engineering qualifications e.g. 17th Edition
  • Be comfortable in working a meat processing environment
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, using own initiative to solve problems
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • A flexible approach to working hours with the ability to do additional hours as and when required to meet business demands
  • The ability to weld would be an advantage (although full training will be given)
