About The Role
As an Operations Manager Apprentice, you’ll embark on an exciting journey within our fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You’ll gain hands-on experience across all aspects of operations, production, and business management, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and commercial awareness. Supported by dedicated mentors and bespoke management development, you’ll have the opportunity to fast-track your career and explore different areas of our business.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and report on production efficiency and line performance
- Support the achievement of key operational KPIs
- Assist in the primary carcass breakdown and yield analysis
- Coordinate production planning with sales and assess costings for new and ongoing business
- Ensure all customer requirements and quality standards are met
- Accurately cost new products and support commercial decision-making
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- A strong interest in food manufacturing, operations, or business management
- Highly motivated, ambitious, and commercially minded
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of team dynamics and a professional, enthusiastic attitude
- Experience with Microsoft Office is desirable
- Right to work in the UK
Qualifications
- You\’ll spend approx 24 months working with Dunbia and an external training provider to achieve your level 5 qualification. The Level 5 Operations Manager Apprenticeship is a nationally recognised, work-based qualification designed to develop the essential skills and knowledge needed to lead and manage teams and operational areas. It\’s fully funded so there is no cost to you!
