Dunbia are one of Europe’s leading food processing companies. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has previous administration experience and is interested in expanding their skills in a well-established HR team. We’re looking for someone who can assist with all aspects of administration within the HR function. This is likely to involve, amongst other duties, setting up and maintaining personnel files, maintaining the new starters/leavers registers, handling general duties such as answering queries, scanning documents and supporting other departments with ensuring that they have up to date, accurate and appropriate information when it is requested. Working closely and strategically with our site HR team, you will be a key member of an ambitious, driven and innovative people-focused department.
Responsibilities
- Support the administration of the employee lifecycle (new starters, changes and leavers), including contracts and letters, onboarding documentation and maintaining the new starters/leavers registers.
- Set up, maintain and audit employee files and HR systems ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality and GDPR compliance.
- Provide first-line HR administrative support by responding to routine employee and manager queries, managing absence administration and signposting to policies and procedures as required.
- Undertake general HR administration including filing, scanning, document control and supporting other departments with providing up-to-date, accurate information when requested.
- Generate and review HR reports to support decision-making and improve HR processes.
- Sense check our systems; if errors occur discuss with the team to ensure these are corrected and this is communicated to the appropriate managers.
- Assist in the planning and execution of HR projects and employee engagement initiatives aimed at improving departmental effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines such as onboarding and induction within a fast-paced environment.
- High level of discretion in handling sensitive data and strong attention to detail ensuring excellent written and verbal communication for interacting with staff and candidates.
Qualifications
- Proven administration skills working in a fast-paced office environment and the ability to manage and prioritize your own workload is a must.
- This is a true Administrator role that requires someone who is proactive, organized, has good attention to detail and works great in a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously is key.
- IT skills with strong competency in using HR Systems as well as Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- The ability to speak a second language would be advantageous as we have an extremely diverse workforce.

Hours: 8.30am-5pm
