The Dawn Meats Group is one of Europe’s leading food processing companies and operates as Dunbia in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that has a desire to produce better food naturally.
As a Commercial Planner, you will be responsible for creating plans for factory production that take into account customer requirements, commercial profitability, and operational capability. You will be supported in gaining a sound knowledge of the whole production process from primal butchery specifications and yields, product packaging and food safety requirements, through to transport post production. The successful candidate will report to the Commercial Department and need to be comfortable working within a food factory environment. Standard hours would be 8.00 - 17.00 Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Producing the site's daily production plan
- Planning and forecasting to hit daily, weekly and monthly production targets
- Managing and controlling stock
- Communicating with commercial, operations, planning, transport and technical at site level, the wider group and externally
- General office administration – order entry, stock releases etc.
- Further responsibilities and tasks will be available as you progress.
Qualifications:
- Experience in production planning in some capacity is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
- A willingness to gain a detailed and full understanding of our products and our full supply chain
- A willingness to build strong relationships with all our stakeholders
- To be flexible, with the capacity & ability to multi-task and adapt in a dynamic working environment
- To be proactive and self-motivated
- To represent the site and business professionally
- Attention to detail
- Willing to cover and support within the team as necessary
