We are seeking a high-caliber Commercial Manager who will establish strong key customer relationships to ensure sales and profitability targets are met. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, this role plays an integral part in developing existing and future business within the company.
Responsibilities
- Build a strong integrated relationship with a key retail customer and their associated departments, including regular visits to the customer's head office.
- Oversee supply chain plans, forecasting and promotional activity for the customer.
- Negotiate product pricing with the customer and distribute agreements to internal and external parties.
- Liaise with NPD department to innovate new ideas to maximise market opportunities in commercially beneficial ways.
- Co‑ordinate with all key departments (Category, NPD, Supply Chain, Technical and Production) in a cross‑functional team.
- Oversee arrangements for the set‑up of new product launches and ensure all components are correct before first production.
- Provide weekly forecast vs actual reports for all internal parties.
- Undertake range reviews and provide comprehensive range analysis to improve sales within the department.
- Provide weekly report to the customer on week‑to‑date sales and additional opportunities.
- Carry out regular benchmarking exercises and monthly gap analysis to improve the range.
- Understand the category and current market position in comparison to other retailers and discounters.
- Undertake any other ad hoc requests from internal management or the customer.
Qualifications
- Ideally, 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment supplying a top retail customer.
- Full clean driving licence required to travel and visit the customer, stores, and Dunbia Group sites.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ambitious, customer‑focused team player, highly flexible, motivated and proactive.
- Strong leadership and management skills, acting in a professional manner at all times.
