Responsibilities

  • General cleaning and sanitation of all factory areas, factory bathrooms and canteen, including mopping, dusting, vacuuming and polishing of floors, furniture, equipment and surfaces.
  • Assisting with laundry.
  • Rotational deep cleaning of internal window glass, ceiling dusting, floor, skirting and wall cleaning.
  • Waste management, cleaning and emptying bins.
  • Recycling for allocated factory areas.
  • Equipment sanitation, inclusive of fridges, microwave ovens and kettle/tap de-scaling.
  • Bathroom sanitation of toilets, sinks and mirrors, replenishing hand soaps.
  • Maintenance reporting – notifying the correct department of any repairs or facility maintenance required.
  • Use of cleaning chemicals and storage according to best practice.
  • Provide reliable and independent work with minimum supervision.
  • Plan and schedule cleaning tasks within time scales.
  • Maintain high hygiene and cleanliness standards to meet industry hygiene levels.
  • Provide good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment and attention to detail; accept responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Previous cleaning experience preferably within a factory environment.
  • Knowledge of chemical use and storage and hygiene cleaning best practice.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to plan and schedule cleaning tasks effectively to time scales.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.

Other requirements

  • Ability to commute reliably to the place of work (no public transport available).
