Responsibilities
- General cleaning and sanitation of all factory areas, factory bathrooms and canteen, including mopping, dusting, vacuuming and polishing of floors, furniture, equipment and surfaces.
- Assisting with laundry.
- Rotational deep cleaning of internal window glass, ceiling dusting, floor, skirting and wall cleaning.
- Waste management, cleaning and emptying bins.
- Recycling for allocated factory areas.
- Equipment sanitation, inclusive of fridges, microwave ovens and kettle/tap de-scaling.
- Bathroom sanitation of toilets, sinks and mirrors, replenishing hand soaps.
- Maintenance reporting – notifying the correct department of any repairs or facility maintenance required.
- Use of cleaning chemicals and storage according to best practice.
- Provide reliable and independent work with minimum supervision.
- Plan and schedule cleaning tasks within time scales.
- Maintain high hygiene and cleanliness standards to meet industry hygiene levels.
- Provide good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment and attention to detail; accept responsibility.
Qualifications
- Previous cleaning experience preferably within a factory environment.
- Knowledge of chemical use and storage and hygiene cleaning best practice.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to plan and schedule cleaning tasks effectively to time scales.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
