Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00 to 17.00

Pay: £13.91 per hour depending on experience

We are actively seeking applications from individuals keen to take up a career within one of Europe’s leading food processing companies. This is an opportunity to join a well-established team within our Packing and Stackdown Area where we have a vacancy for a Team Leader. The successful candidate will work within our production leadership team assisting the Packing Area Manager in the effective and efficient operation and delivery of customer product, whilst developing the team and quality culture within the department.

Responsibilities

  • A focus on processes such as boxing, labelling, scanning and movement of palletised product to the maturation chills area, as well as the co‑ordination of inputs (boxes, labels, trays, strapping etc.) required for the activities to happen effectively.
  • Helping and supporting the achievement of safe, effective and efficient operation.
  • Achievement of the departmental KPI’s ensuring accurate recording of information to enable the KPI’s to be measured.
  • Assist in the effective planning of the department activities to ensure the optimisation of resources and delivery of customer requirements.
  • Coaching team members.
  • Maintain compliance for all products in accordance with the relevant legislative, customer and company requirements with particular attention to Food Safety.
  • Maintain and improve health and safety standards and identify training needs within the team.

Qualifications

  • Experience within a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment – meat processing experience is essential.
  • Able to prioritise, multitask and remain calm under pressure to strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, time management and attention to detail skills.
  • A desire to develop yourself and others.
