The predicted salary is between 27800 - 31400 £ per year.
Working hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday 6am to 3pm
Pay: £13.42 rising to £15.16 per hour after probation
We are actively seeking applications from individuals keen to take up a career within one of Europe’s leading food processing companies. This is an opportunity to join well-established teams in Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) and Operations. The successful candidate will work within departments on the shop floor. The QA will work cross‑functionally with the FSQ and Operations teams to ensure FSQ procedures are followed to the highest standards, so that we deliver products of the highest quality to our customers.
Key Duties (but not limited to):
- Ensure quality issues are minimised, not repeated and aspirationally, do not exist. Issues are identified prior to despatch.
- Support the follow up of corrective actions ensuring non‑conformances are investigated with root cause analysis of any issue, identification and corrective strategies applied.
- Daily KPI’s are set and monitored, including: Daily micro samples are taken.
- Various pre‑start checks throughout the factory including all sterilisers etc are carried out.
- Label and weight checks are carried out and are consistent.
- Daily contamination checks are carried out as appropriate.
- All quality records are fully completed, recorded and stored appropriately.
- Perform hygiene inspections.
- Collecting, logging product samples/environmental swabs.
- Site internal audits are carried out as per defined schedule and follow up on any findings.
- Full traceability is maintained throughout the process.
Experience and Qualification:
- Experience within a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment – meat processing experience is desirable.
- Able to prioritise, multitask and remain calm under pressure to strict deadlines.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational, time management and attention to detail skills.
- Due to the tasks involved in the role, the ability to have a good standard of English is essential.
