Our client is a well-established, employee-owned technology consultancy based in Edinburgh. They deliver cloud, AI, and managed IT services to organisations across the public and private sectors, and have built a strong reputation for technical excellence, collaborative culture, and long-term client relationships. This is a great opportunity to join a growing business development function within a company that genuinely invests in its people.

The Role

We're looking for a Junior Business Development Manager to support the wider BD team in driving new business activity. This is a fantastic entry point into technology sales for someone who is organised, personable, and keen to build a career in business development. You'll be involved across the full sales cycle β€” from prospecting and meeting support through to helping get Master Service Agreements (MSAs) over the line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support senior BD team members in identifying, researching, and qualifying new business opportunities
  • Help coordinate and prepare for client meetings and pitches, including note-taking and follow-up actions
  • Create and maintain marketing and sales collateral β€” proposals, case studies, decks, and one-pagers
  • Assist in drafting, tracking, and progressing MSAs and other commercial agreements through to signature
  • Keep the CRM accurate and up to date with opportunities, contacts, and activity
  • Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients to support pipeline growth
  • Liaise with marketing, technical, and legal colleagues to keep collateral and contracts moving
  • Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Some experience in a business development, sales support, or marketing role (professional services or technology sector experience is a plus, but not essential)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling contracts and client-facing materials
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems and Microsoft 365
  • Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
  • A genuine interest in technology and IT services

What's on Offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Hybrid and flexible working
  • Clear progression path within a growing business development function
  • Supportive, collaborative, employee-focused culture
  • Ongoing investment in learning and professional development
