The Industry Practice Expert Banking is a hands-on, execution-focused role that supports and operationalizes the Industry Practice strategy by turning industry expertise, data assets, and technology capabilities into concrete use cases, customer solutions, and sales enablement outcomes. Acting as the analytical and operational extension of the Industry Practice Lead, the role focuses on structuring requirements, shaping use cases, supporting solution design, and ensuring that industry initiatives move from concept to scalable implementation. This includes typical Business-Analyst activities such as requirements analysis, process decomposition, data analysis/mapping, and validation of value assumptions.
Key Responsibilities
- Industry Use Case and Solution Development
- Develop and maintain industry-specific use cases and solution blueprints.
- Translate industry processes, KPIs, and business requirements into structured solution designs.
- Combine customer-generated data with third-party data to support measurable business outcomes.
- Support advanced analytics, AI, and agentic AI use cases through requirements definition, validation, and documentation.
- Maintain clear documentation of use cases, data inputs, assumptions, and value drivers to support scalability.
- Sales and Pre-Sales Support
- Act as industry subject-matter expert in sales and pre-sales engagements, supporting the Industry Practice Lead and sales teams.
- Support deal qualification, value articulation, and solution design with structured industry and data analysis.
- Contribute to proposals, demos, and executive presentations through content development and analytical input.
- Support customer discovery sessions and workshops by capturing requirements, structuring findings, and defining follow-up actions.
- Sales Training and Knowledge Enablement
- Deliver and support structured industry training sessions for sales teams and partners.
- Enable teams to understand industry KPIs, operating processes, and buyer challenges in a practical, application-oriented way.
- Maintain and update industry documentation, playbooks, and enablement assets in coordination with the Industry Practice Lead.
- Product, Data, and Technology Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with product, data science, AI, and operating unit teams as the operational industry interface.
- Translate industry and customer needs into structured inputs for product and data teams.
- Provide fact-based, structured feedback on product gaps, industry requirements, and data limitations.
- Support pilots and early customer adoption initiatives through analysis, coordination, and feedback collection.
- Market and Trend Intelligence
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics from an execution and delivery perspective.
- Identify emerging customer needs and upcoming milestones with relevance for solution development.
- Feed structured insights into Industry Practice strategy, sales messaging, and product roadmap discussions under direction of the Industry Practice Lead.
Essential Skills and/or Certifications
- At least 8 years of professional experience working as a subject matter expert, consultant, business analyst, or solution support role.
- At least 5 years experience working in support of the related Industry or support of senior industry or domain leaders.
- Practical experience contributing to industry-specific initiatives, use cases, or solution development, with demonstrated ability to operationalise concepts into deliverables.
- Solid understanding of industry processes, KPIs, and performance metrics, and the ability to apply them in concrete customer, sales, and solution contexts.
- Working knowledge of data ecosystems, including customer-generated data, third-party data enrichment, analytics, AI, and emerging agentic AI use cases.
- Experience supporting sales and pre-sales activities through analysis, solution input, content development, or proposal and demo support.
- Proven ability to structure business and functional requirements and translate them into clear, actionable inputs for product, data, or technical teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail, structure, and documentation quality.
- Clear, professional communication skills, able to explain complex industry, data, or solution topics in a structured and practical manner.
- Experience working cross-functionally with sales, product, data, technology, and operating unit teams in a supporting and execution focused capacity.
