St Joseph’s College is a popular secondary school situated in the town of Dumfries. As part of Scotland’s Schools for the Future programme, the school campus benefitted from a multi-million pound redevelopment programme in 2018 which included completely new Science and Technology Education facilities.

We are now looking to appoint a dynamic, experienced teacher to lead developments in a large and successful Science and Technology faculty which includes technical education subjects. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to play a strategic role in ensuring that we continue to provide the best possible opportunities for all our pupils in these subject areas. In addition, the promotion of STEM careers and pathways is central to the vision of the school and the appointee will work closely with other staff in the promotion of this. The school is the proud recipient of the Education Scotland STEM Nation Award.
