We are a committed and motivated Children and Families Social Work Team dedicated to improving outcomes for the children, young people and families we work with.
A minimum of 5 years practice experience within children and families social work is desirable, alongside a post qualifying award. We are looking for Senior Social Worker\’s with the energy and enthusiasm to make a significant contribution to the work of the team. Supervisory experience is desirable.
You will be a self-motivated, dynamic individual, who is committed to promoting and ensuring that the children, young people and families we work with are the focus of our work. To support this, you will have a key role in developing and improving our relationship and strengths-based approach to the way we work with families, using a variety of models and tools.
You will be expected to provide leadership, direction, supervision and nurturing to a team of social workers and senior family support workers. Whilst ensuring that the work of the team is undertaken in accordance with legislation and guidance, Council policies and procedures and within agreed budgets in the delivery of effective children and families\’ practice. We are looking for somebody who is motivated and keen to work as part of a management team, and someone who is excited to drive forward change so that we can deliver the best possible service we can for our families.
You will have the skills to initiate and develop effective working relationships with colleagues and other agencies. You will recognise the importance of self-evaluation and quality assurance and have ideas about how we can imbed this into practice. You will receive good support from colleagues and managers and regular supervision.

A DipSW/CQSW/CSS qualification or equivalent is essential as is SSSC registration.
A current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a licence, consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
