\n \nPurpose of Role:
\n \nProvision of Refuse & Recycling collection services, to domestic & commercial, properties across Dumfries & Galloway.
\n \nDuties will include:
\n \n- \n
- Driving of Refuse, Recycling, Food Waste & White Goods/Bulky collection vehicles. \n
- Ensuring collection of refuse & recycling routes daily in a safe and efficient manner adhering to Health & Safety and Safe Working Procedures. \n
- Any other tasks relating to Waste Collection Services functions. \n
An excellent opportunity has arisen for recruitment within the Facilities, Waste and Neighbourhood Services, Directorate.
\nWe deliver a wide variety of frontline services and require a Senior Refuse & Recycling Operative at our depot in Cargen Tower, Dumfries.
\nYou will be expected to carry out a range of duties as instructed by the Waste Supervisor.
\nIdeally you will have a working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, in Waste Management and Transportation.
\nYou will be able to work both independently and as a team member.
\nThis post is subject to candidate vetting through Disclosure Scotland.
\nYou will be educated to Standard Grade Level and have Class C, HGV License, and valid Driver CPC.
