Are you energetic, enthusiastic and committed to delivering excellent customer service? These roles are based within Customer Services Centres which bring together Libraries, Local Studies & Archives, Registration, and face to face Customer Services.
The role involves a combination of delivering services to customers while also supporting and supervising an onsite staff team. In a typical day you’ll transition between delivering services direct to customers to conducting health and safety audits and meeting with staff. This role will lead the delivery of registration services; so, we are particularly keen to hear from people who are interested in completing a professional registration qualification. The training is fully funded, provided as part of the role and will enable you to become a qualified Registrar of Births, Deaths, and Marriages in Scotland!
Requirements
- Ideally, you’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to deal with customer enquiries sensitively.
- You’ll have experience working face to face with customers as well as practical knowledge of supervising staff teams.
- This is an ideal opportunity to join our team working across Wigtownshire, with the key location for this role at Stranraer Customer Service Centre.
- Some evening/weekend working will be required, and a current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.
