Lead in the delivery of road services across Dumfries and Galloway

Are you ready to drive forward vital road operations that directly impact communities across Dumfries and Galloway?

Dumfries and Galloway Council is looking for a forward thinking, motivated, Road Operations and Maintenance Manager to take a leading role to drive delivery, efficiency and excellence across one of the Council’s most critical service areas.

This is a key operational leadership post supporting the Roads Maintenance Manager, with responsibility for managing road maintenance, winter services, street lighting, and associated operational teams. You’ll be responsible for ensuring services are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with Council priorities, while also contributing to longer-term planning and improvement.

We want a proven leader with an operational background in roads or infrastructure, excellent people management skills and the drive to continuously improve. You should bring a sharp focus on health and safety, efficiency and quality as well as manage resources, budgets, and performance across a wide range of operational activities.
