This position is to take charge of a large busy school kitchen. You will be responsible for a large team within the kitchen and servery units.

You must have Catering Manager or supervisory experience as well as cooking skills/experience.

  • Provide meals for nursery children, primary and secondary pupils and transporting food to dedicated primaries.
  • Support the services event and hospitality functions as and when required.
  • Be responsible for a large team of staff, their absences and training.
  • Manage the kitchen budget.
  • Be fully Allergen Aware and cater for children and young people with food allergies and/or intolerance.
  • Organise the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
  • Deal with any complaints.
  • Be aware of the current food trends and customer awareness.
